Korean reviewers who have had these ARC laptops far longer have already made larger lists of games that ARC is incompatible/dysfunctional with. F1 2022 may be a mess on other hardware, but I haven't heard many stories of it hard-locking the system. That one game, F1 is a mess on all sorts of hardware btw. They only mentioned one game with problems, said others were fine and they actually didnt have any drive issues. The people that buy an ARC GPU now, are essentially beta testers for Intel. Linus says the quiet part out loud near the end of the video: It ends up drawing more power, in this ARC A370M+12th Gen equipped model, than the previous years RTX 3050+11th Gen equipped model. XeSS is not available on any games, so it was not tested. They had a lot of trouble getting Handbrake to run with AV1, and the whole story of how to get the latest drivers sounds less than stellar. It can do AV1 encoding in Adobe Premier/Media Encoder, and there is currently no other GPU based AV1 encoder, so it wins by default. Yes, it is (marginally) faster at a Topaz Labs Video Enhance AI workload, but it crashes so often that the Nvidia GPU usually wins. it hard locked the system when running F1 2022. It also has stability problems with certain games. Gaming performance wise, it's slower than the RTX 3050 equipped HP spectre from last year, and can occasionally even be beaten by AMDs iGPUs. There are tons of problems with this GPU that is on sale today. The 10% rule is enforced on /r/hardware repeat offenders and/or your website or channel may be banned.
